Coolant & Antifreeze

Modern engine coolants are more than just antifreeze.

RAVENOL Antifreeze is a cooling and antifreeze agent based on mono ethylene glycol (MEG), that has been produced to correspond with the newest water cooled motors, and to which a special additive package has been added to guarantee a year-round faultless functioning of your engine.

To ensure good corrosion protection it is recommended to use at least 33 vol. % of RAVENOL Antifreeze in the coolant solution. This provides frost protection to -20°C. Typical mixtures in Northern Europe are 50 / 50 Antifreeze / Water, offering frost protection down to -36°C.

Features:

  • year round use to provide protection against freezing, overheating and corrosion
  • suitable for use in both petrol and diesel engines
  • good compatibility with elastomers
  • excellent heat transfer performance
  • extended life for the coolant
  • contains no nitrite, amine or phosphate

For coolants there exist no general standard specifications like API or ACEA for motoroils.

RAVENOL Coolants can be mixed only with RAVENOL destilliertes Wasser entionisiert. It meets all specifications concerning the stability with hard water. Mixing with ordinary tap water may cause metal corrosion.RAVENOL Antifreeze does not have any negative influence on the rubber parts of the cooling system.
