AMG Team HTP Motorsport Between Dubai and Australia

For team AMG-Team HTP Motorsport, the winter break between the 2016 and 2017 seasons was anything but long. After all, endurance racing nearly never rests.

At first, the squad from Altendiez, Germany, travelled to Dubai for the 24h race held there from 12th to 14th of January, with the team relying on  RAVENOL lubricants optimised for endurance racing. After 24 hours of power and high performance, the AMG team came to a positive conclusion although it was hampered by massive problems, prior to and during the race. Late in the night, the 500bhp 6.3-liter V8 Mercedes GT3 was involved in an accident with another competitor through no fault of its own, thus losing out on any chances of securing a good result. In the end, the AMG team finished 58th in the overall standings and seventh in class P7.

The next race to be contested by the team will be the 12h race at Bathurst, Australia, from  the 3rd to 7th of February.
