RAVENOL FIA WEC Partner ByKOLLES Racing Prepares for the Nürburgring 6hrs

After the 24 Hours of Le Mans comes the 6 Hours of the Nürburgring

This weekend, the FIA World Endurance Championship, will stop at the Nürburgring for a third time – and RAVENOL will be there contesting the FIA WEC season together with Team ByKOLLES. With a new front-wheel suspension, a modified aero package and RAVENOL lubricants in the respective units, Team ByKOLLES and its drivers Oliver Webb (Great Britain), Marco Bonanomi (Italy), and Dominik Kraihamer (Austria) race in the highest category – the LMP1 class.

‘LE MANS Prototype 1 (LMP1) races are sports-car races on Formula 1 level: the pinnacle of endurance racing features two different kinds of vehicles: on the one hand the Werksteams entered hybrid prototypes with Energy Recovery Systems (ERS) – which have been used in F1 since 2014 – and on the other the vehicles of independent teams that don’t feature a hybrid system. According to regulations, the latter have a minimum weight of 855kg. The regulations allow the use of different propulsion technologies and types of engines including hybrid systems; the use of a temporary all-wheel-drive system for example.

RAVENOL will be on site as team partner and supplier and is there to advise the ByKOLLES crew on any technical questions that should arise.
